Competition for the production of an anti-Coronavirus vaccine is heating up amid American and European expectations that this may be possible by the end of this year, and as European countries ease the isolation measures, the epidemic continues to claim more victims around the world.

On Friday, US President Donald Trump said he expects to reach the Coronavirus vaccine at the end of this year.

Trump added that his administration will invest in the best candidate vaccines to treat the virus, adding that a list of 14 promising vaccines has been prepared with the possibility of reducing the list.

He added that access to this vaccine is an essential pillar of the strategy to keep the United States open.

The US president’s remarks come at a time when global laboratories in the United States, Europe and China are racing to produce a vaccine against the Coronavirus, which spread late last year from the Chinese city of Wuhan and covered various parts of the world.

A hundred projects

There are currently more than a hundred projects in the world and more than ten clinical trials of the vaccine, including five in China to try to find a cure for the disease.

The European Medicines Agency, known as "Emma", said that a vaccine for the Corona virus could be approved in the most optimistic scenario early next year.

The agency indicated that it is in the process of cooperating with 33 experts to develop a treatment for the virus, and the agency is testing about 115 possible treatments, and it is not known which of them may be ready in the deadlines.

In this context, the researchers at the University of Oxford announced that the results of the clinical trial that they are carrying out to develop a vaccine may be available within a month, and the researchers began testing the vaccine last month in the form of five hundred volunteers.

The researchers believe that the challenge after the vaccine leave is the ability to manufacture it in large quantities, noting that they will cooperate with the drug company "AstraZeneca" to ensure the vaccine reaches poor countries.

Britain has given the green light to Abbot Laboratories to manufacture an anti-coronavirus antibody test. The antibody test involves analyzing a sample of a person’s blood in order to detect the presence of an antibody in the Coronavirus.

Experts say that this type of test will reveal the size of unregistered injuries, as it will reveal individuals who passed or passed the disease in silence.

But the US Food and Drug Administration cautioned that Abbott's Corona Diagnostic Test is not entirely accurate.
