It is reported that four US naval warships with a military plane bound for the Caribbean have been monitored, and observers believe it is heading to target Iranian oil tankers en route to Venezuela.

An Iranian news agency close to the Revolutionary Guards said that any move by the United States "like pirates" against an Iranian fuel shipment heading to Venezuela would have repercussions.

A senior administration official told Reuters last Thursday that the United States was studying measures that could be taken against Iran sending a shipment of fuel to crisis-ridden Venezuela.

The Noor News Agency reported Saturday morning that if the United States intends to "create insecurity in the international waterways, it will take a serious risk, and it will certainly not pass without repercussions."

Ship tracking data indicate that at least one tanker was loaded with fuel from an Iranian port and sailed towards Venezuela, which could help the country reduce fuel shortages.

This tanker raises the Iranian flag and called "Clavell", and it crossed the Suez Canal last Wednesday, after loading it with fuel in the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, according to the data.

"The news from informed sources indicates that the US Navy has sent four warships and a Boeing B-8 Poseidon plane to the Caribbean," Nour said.

It is noteworthy that Venezuela is in urgent need of gasoline and other fuel products to preserve the appearance of life in the country, in light of the economic collapse that occurred during the era of President Nicholas Maduro.

Venezuela produces crude oil, but its infrastructure was paralyzed during the economic crisis.

According to information obtained by the Fars agency, American warships were sent to the Caribbean for a possible confrontation with Iranian oil tankers.

Military political analysts say that if US President Donald Trump takes a dangerous initiative in the Caribbean, he will face a reaction that weakens his position in the upcoming presidential elections.
