On February 24 at 15, a knife-cut man was found in the staircase to his home on Skallberget in Västerås. At the same time, police received an alarm about another bloody man who went to a nearby pharmacy. The 46-year-old man was later arrested by police.

Two days later, the suspected man was arrested on probable cause for attempted murder. The knife-cut man died a week later from his injuries and the crime classification was changed to murder. The man had then been in a coma in a hospital.

"It's a pretty brutal knife act," prosecutor Fredrik Ingblad said.

Now the man is being charged with murder. According to Fredrik Ingblad, the evidence is good for judging the man. The knife contains both DNA from the victim and the suspect.

The accused man refuses the crime.
