Newspapers in South Korea have reported that North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-un, has sacked his bodyguard and intelligence chief, amid ambiguity about Kim Jong-un's health and not appearing in public since May 1.

According to the newspaper "The Korea Herald", North Korea expelled Jang Kelsong from his position as head of the Intelligence Bureau, which was established in 2009, and focuses its secret military operations on Japan, South Korea and the United States.

The newspaper said that the intelligence office is responsible for carrying out espionage and attacks, including against America and South Korea, which accuses the office of bombing a South Korean navy ship in Cheonan in 2010 and killing all of it.

And Yonhap News reported that Jang was replaced by General Rim Kwang II.

The Herald also added that Kim Jong Un sacked his bodyguard, Yoon Jung Rin, who has been protecting him since 2010, from his position as commander of the Supreme Guard.

Newspapers have noted that Kim Jong Un has been hidden from view since his debut on May 1, as well as rumors about his health.

South Korea's National Intelligence Agency previously announced that although North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-un, had not appeared on public occasions, he had not undergone any surgery or medical treatment.

Kim had disappeared from the official media for three weeks, after he last appeared on April 11 when he presided over a formal meeting, but he returned and missed the ceremony marking the birthday of his grandfather, Kim Il-sung, the founder of North Korea on April 15, which opened the door to speculation about his status. Health and its place.
