The survey does not include inpatients or people living in nursing homes, because these people may have a higher prevalence of the virus. The results of the survey showed that 33 people from 30 families were positive. Medical workers in these families were several times more likely to be infected with the virus than other industries.

The survey aims to help government officials calculate the number of new coronavirus reproduction (R) or infection rate, and the feasibility of tracking contacts of infected persons. Subsequently, this study will also conduct a survey of 25,000 British households.

A new antibody test has recently been approved for use in the UK. The test will prove whether a person has been infected with the new coronavirus and may already have some immunity. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has previously stated that this antibody test may be a "powerful way" to control the spread of the new coronavirus.

On the 14th, the British Ministry of Health released data that there were 3,446 newly diagnosed cases of new coronavirus infection in the UK on that day, with a cumulative total of 233,151 confirmed cases. There were 428 new deaths on that day, and the total number of deaths was 33,614. (Finish)
