Gérard Houllier, adviser to the president of Lyon Jean-Michel Aulas, evoked Friday "a plot, to eliminate OL", deprived of European Cup after the decision to prematurely stop Ligue 1, even pointing the finger "a OM-PSG axis ".

"There is an axis between OM and PSG and it hit hard. It has made allies on its side with arrangements between friends and I think it was mainly a plot, a plan to eliminate the 'OL ", lambasted the former coach of Lyon (2005-2007), on OLTV, the television channel of the Rhone club.

"It will be stifled because I will say that the State is present and involved. I followed all the press conferences of Emmanuel Macron or Edouard Philippe and we never talked about sport. And as if by chance, on the last, it is said that the championship will not be able to resume. It was the first time that we talked about sport. I found it a little strange ", added Gérard Houllier, DTN of the French federation for thirteen years ( 1988-1998, 2007-2010).

Since the decision to put an early end to the L1 season due to the coronavirus pandemic, Jean-Michel Aulas has not given up: he has written to French parliamentarians to convince them to "back off" and has filed two appeals before the administrative court.

"I found it very unfair. A championship does not stop at the 3rd, 19th or 28th day. We go to the end otherwise we consider it to be null and void," said Gérard again Coal.

"If it goes well in Germany or England from June onwards, we will really look ridiculous. We will have been the only great nation to have stopped too quickly," he said.

Lyon, 7th at the time of the interruption of the Ligue 1 championship and still in the Champions League race after its victory in the first knockout round against Juventus (1-0), may however still be European if it wins the cup of the League whose final he has to play against Paris-SG on a date yet to be fixed.
