According to the website of the Chinese Embassy in Côte d’ Ivoire, on May 14, Côte d’ Ivoire President Ouattara presided over the fourth National Security Committee meeting since the outbreak of the new coronary pneumonia outbreak. The meeting studied the current epidemic prevention and control situation and the achievements of various prevention and control measures in the branch, and believed that the implementation of the government's anti-epidemic strategy was satisfactory. The meeting decided to maintain the section's national emergency until May 31 and continue to close the aviation, marine and land borders.

  With regard to the Greater Abidjan region, the following adjustments have been made in the relevant prevention and control measures:

  1. The curfew will be lifted from May 15.

  2. From May 15th, the bistros and restaurants are allowed to resume business, provided that strict anti-epidemic requirements such as hand washing, wearing masks, and a social distance of 1 meter are strictly observed. Allow the hotel to continue business.

  3. Bars, nightclubs, movie theaters and theaters still need to be closed until May 31.

  4. The number of assembly members has been increased from 50 to 200.

  5. From May 25th, kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools and higher education institutions will resume classes.

  6. The Greater Abidjan area remained isolated until May 31. There is no need to issue a negative test certificate when leaving Abidjan, but it is subject to medical monitoring by the local health department.

  7. Carry out a two-week medical monitoring of all entry personnel.

  8. Security personnel will strengthen the inspection of masks worn by people in public places such as public transportation, commercial centers, confined places, markets, etc., and those who violate relevant regulations will be punished.
