Walk, visit, cultivate within a radius of 100 km (illustration). - M.Libert / 20 Minutes

For a hundred bricks, you have nothing left, but a hundred terminals, you have a lot of stuff. One of the rules put in place by the government during the deconfinement was the prohibition to move more than one hundred kilometers from his home, except for compelling reasons. The ride or culture are not considered exceptions to the rule, everyone must find something to do in this restricted circle. Two people from Lille have put online a card that gives you lots of great things to do while staying within the legal framework.

Their website is called Minus100km.com and it was launched this Friday morning. The two creators behind this initiative, Charlie and Nicolas, had already launched l'Echappée beer, the Lille brewery tourism agency. "There are plenty of sites that calculate this famous perimeter for you, but often the service stops there," laments Nicolas. So, only 15 days ago, they had the idea of creating a search engine linked to a map which, once entering the departure city, offers you a whole list of activities: parks, gardens, heritage, beaches, museums, natural site…

"Staying within 100 km was not a punishment"

In addition to the “essential institutional”, Lessde100km.com seeks “nuggets”. The collaborative side of the site allows everyone to offer their good plans and share the vein with everyone.

"We have already listed 120 places and we plan to reach 200 by the end of the month," says Nicolas. Of course, everything that the site will offer you is open, even if you have to respect drastic health rules. "We also want to add an agenda section when cultural places such as concert halls or concert halls reopen," he continues.

Is spending all this energy worthwhile for a measure that is not intended to last? “We assumed that staying within 100 km was not a punishment. On the contrary, it is an opportunity to discover a local offer that is often overlooked and yet very extensive, ”says Nicolas. And when the restriction is lifted by the government, there is no question of letting the site die: "100 km is a distance that allows you to offer day experiences. You don't always have to go far to discover interesting things, ”insists the co-founder.
