Venezuela detained deserters trying to invade the country

“When we tried to cross the border, we detained 39 deserters, who, we believe, were going to take part in a prepared operation financed from abroad,” TASS quoted him as saying.

It is noted that the essence of the operation, as expected, was an armed invasion of Venezuela.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Venezuela reported that on the morning of May 3, a “group of mercenary terrorists organized and trained in Colombia” tried to get into the country on boats. Colombia later denied any involvement in the incident.
