The UAE today sent an aid plane containing 7 tons of medical supplies to Romania, to support it in curbing the spread of the emerging Corona Virus / Covid-19, which will benefit more than 7,000 health care workers to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.
The UAE’s ambassador to Romania, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah bin Saeed Al-Matroushi, said: “The UAE has strong and friendly relations with Romania, and this assistance comes to reflect these distinguished relations, which will support and empower thousands of health care workers in the country.” He added: “ The battle against Covid-19 is global, and the UAE has found strong allies all over the world facing this epidemic with determination and determination. "
He stressed that the UAE and its wise leadership do not forget its friends in all circumstances and conditions, and that this matter confirms to the international community that the state's statements are consistent with its actions and initiatives that are in the interest of humanity, and it has proven to the whole world that it plays a leading and major role in the international arena.
It is noteworthy that the UAE has provided to date more than 549 tons of aid to more than 48 countries, benefiting about 549 thousand medical workers.
