“To eliminate comments on the electrical equipment of the main circuit, the third power unit of the South Ukrainian NPP is disconnected from the power grid. During transient shutdowns of the power unit, there were no violations of the conditions and limits of safe operation, ”the statement said.
It is noted that the radiation situation at the nuclear power plant complies with safety standards. The radiation background at the industrial site is at the level of natural background values.
Earlier, the head of the energy committee of the Ukrainian parliament, Andrey Gerus, announced the shutdown of atomic unit No. 3 of the Rivne NPP. He was later reconnected to the power grid.
