In the clip above you hear the head of the department tell us about the Social Services' control of the accommodation.

Alingsås municipality currently has three people located at Höglunda. The environment surrounding the accommodation has been in contact with several people SVT has been described as "pure misery". But according to the social director in Alingsås, the accommodation itself is not inferior.

- My co-workers have been there on several occasions, and then it has not looked like you show me here, says Tanja Mattsson, head of the social services department in Alingsås municipality, when she gets to see the video from the basement of the house and pictures from other parts of the house .

According to Tanja Mattsson, the social service does not conduct any inspections of the accommodation, this is done by the Environmental Protection Agency. The social services, on the other hand, go to the accommodation to meet the people they have placed there. And it is on these occasions that the accommodation has been evaluated, and judged as "reasonable".

Several concerns

The social service has rented temporary rooms at Höglunda since last summer, and has so far paid just over SEK 300,000 to the owner of the accommodation. The rooms cost between SEK 300 and 500 per night, according to Tanja Mattsson.

- We have a large housing shortage in Alingsås municipality so many times we find it difficult to find places at all. We are almost grateful to the fact that there are still actors who are lined up, says Tanja Mattsson.

The social services have received at least two reports of concern regarding the accommodation, including from an ambulance staff who had to pull out and pick up Ulf Laurin at the accommodation. According to the report of the ambulance staff, it was "the biggest misery he has seen, despite his 17 years at the ambulance".

- We followed up on that report, and even then it didn't look that way when we were there. We judged it was fair at the time, says Tanja Mattsson.
