The chairman of the board, Frenchman Serge Weinberg, "gave me all the necessary assurances regarding the distribution in France of a possible Sanofi vaccine," added the Prime Minister in a tweet, recalling that Sanofi was " a big, deeply French company. ”

I just reminded Serge Weinberg who chairs @Sanofi, this big, deeply French company. He gave me all the necessary assurances regarding the distribution in France of a possible Sanofi vaccine.

"A global public good"

The group created controversy Wednesday by arguing that the first vaccine could be reserved for the United States because of the significant investment of the American authorities. Sanofi on Thursday dismissed the European authorities from their responsibilities, asking them to be as "efficient" as their American counterparts, particularly in facilitating regulatory procedures.

"As Emmanuel Macron said, a vaccine against Covid-19 must be a global public good," said Edouard Philippe, referring in particular to the statements of the Head of State of April 24 before the Organization World Health. "Equal access for all to the vaccine is not negotiable," insisted the Prime Minister.
