Earlier this year, Prosecutor Krister Petersson revealed in SVT's Week's crime that before the summer either will bring charges or close the preliminary investigation into the Palm murder. It could mean a solution to the question that has been investigated for 34 years - who murdered Prime Minister Olof Palme.

Krister Petersson has not revealed who is being investigated. But several measures have been directed at the so-called Skandia man, which was launched as a possible killer by journalist Thomas Petersson in a report in the journal Filter summer 2018.

Not crucial

Thomas Petersson notes that the investigation of the villa in Täby comes late and does not believe that it is crucial for the investigation.

- You have a to-do list before you finish the preliminary investigation. Then this visit to the villa is probably something to do, even if you do not have so much hope of finding something new. I think the crucial tasks have been for a long time, he says.

What could it be?

- Of course you would like to see a murder weapon found. But it can also be a combination of several types of data, technical evidence or testimony from the site that we do not know so far.

The answer comes in June

Thomas Petersson, in his review of the Palm murder, claimed that the Scandinavian was dismissed as a suspect on misconduct grounds, highlighting a link to a gun collector with access to the type of weapon used in the murder.

So far he has not had reason to re-evaluate some of his conclusions, but he is very curious about what will be revealed in Prosecutor Krister Petersson's documentation when the preliminary investigation is presented in June.

- Then there may be new information that I have not had, and none. Then maybe you can re-evaluate one and another, he says.
