• Royals: King Felipe VI's cousin, María Teresa de Borbón Parma, the 'red princess', dies of coronavirus
  • Royals.Who is the last princess who died of coronavirus and what is her link with the Spanish Royal Family?

Princess Maria Galitzine has died suddenly at the age of 32, a victim of a thoracic aneurysm, at her home in Houston.

As the family has revealed, nothing could be done for her and her death was practically instantaneous.

Great-granddaughter of Charles I, the last emperor of Austria, and Zita of Bourbon-Parma, Maria Galitzine resided in Texas City with her husband, Rishi Roop Singh, whom she married in 2017, and their son Maxim , born in February 2018.

The princess was linked to the Bourbon-Parma surname, a family that has suffered two other significant losses in recent weeks. María Teresa de Borbón-Parma passed away at the end of March from the coronavirus, at the age of 86.

A few days ago, and for the same cause, her cousin, Diana de Bourbon-Parma, died. Both were nieces of Zita de Bourbon-Parma, great-grandmother of Princess Maria Galitzine.
