China News Service, May 13 (Xinhua) According to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Embassy in Ireland, recently, many Chinese citizens in love plan to transfer back to the country from the Schengen countries such as the Netherlands and Belgium. If the country stays for more than 24 hours, it is denied boarding, detention, or repatriation.

Here, the Chinese Embassy in Ireland reminds compatriots who intend to transfer from Schengen countries:

  1. Do not transfer in two or more Schengen countries in a row. If you transit two or more Schengen countries in a row (such as Dublin-Amsterdam-Brussels-Beijing), you need to use the transit channel in the Schengen area, which belongs to the Schengen country. A valid Schengen visa cannot enter the transit channel within the Schengen area, which will result in detention or deportation.

Second, strictly abide by the transit time requirements. Please understand in advance the Schengen country transit time regulations and specific requirements. It is understood that if you transfer in Belgium without checked baggage, you can transfer within 24 hours. If you have more than 24 hours or if you have checked baggage, you must apply for a visa in advance, otherwise you will be repatriated. Other Schengen countries have similar requirements. Please check carefully before purchasing air tickets.
