"The preliminary investigation is complete and the main protocol was submitted yesterday to the suspect and his defender," writes the prosecutor requesting extension to 11 am now on Friday, May 15.

The prosecutor wants the mother to be remanded again with restrictions such as suspicion of gross neglect to another's death and serious abuse on two occasions. However, she does not want to say whether the prosecution will have the same headings.

- I base it on that, says Anna Lander to SVT News East.

The hearing on extended prosecution time and detention is held during the afternoon.

Dad died in custody

It was on January 30 this year that a three-year-old girl was found dead after more than a day in an apartment in Norrköping. The girl's parents were arrested and then arrested on suspicion of causing the girl's death through negligence.

On Sunday, February 16, the father was found dead in the jail for unclear cause, a case that is under investigation by the Prison and Police.

The girl had been placed in a family home since birth in the spring of 2016. After a verdict in the District Court, the biological parents got the girl back in the spring of 2019.

The law should be investigated

After the incident, the Government has appointed an inquiry with the task of reviewing changes that can strengthen the rights of forced children and how the principle of the best interests of the child can be strengthened in court.
