“It is completely impossible to compare the number of cases in a country with a population of more than 100 million and in a country with a population of less than 10 million,” she added.
According to her, the last ten days the total number of registered cases of COVID-19 is statistically approximately the same.
“That is, for ten days in the Russian Federation we do not see significant day-to-day growth when comparing these figures,” she noted.
She said that the proportion of children with coronavirus in Russia increased from 5 to 7%, the number of men and women with this virus is approximately the same.
According to data as of May 12, in Russia 232,243 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 43,512 people recovered, 2,116 died.
Most cases were registered in Moscow - 121 301, Moscow Region - 22 700 and St. Petersburg - 8050.
