The accident mobilized around forty firefighters. This Monday, a semi-trailer carrying solvent went to bed at a roundabout located in Val-de-Reuil (Eure). The 27,000 liters of flammable liquid contained in the tank then spilled on the road, reports France Bleu Normandie.

The slightly injured driver

After setting up a 100-meter security perimeter, the firefighters deployed two foam lances and a water lance to prevent the fire from starting. They also blocked the rainwater network to prevent pollution.

The truck driver was slightly injured. He was transported by the emergency services to the hospital of Elbeuf (Seine-Maritime). The accident also interrupted traffic in both directions and deviations had to be put in place pending the lifting of the truck.
