Activists circulated a video clip showing the new Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi scolding his brother during his visit to the General Retirement Directorate in Baghdad yesterday.

Iraqis interacted on the communication platforms with Al-Kazimi's video call to his older brother Imad, rebuking him with a sharp tone and asking him to "not contact anyone in the state" as the prime minister's brother, and to consider this as impersonation of the character, warning him that today he is "prime minister of all Iraqis" and not his property .

Some activists considered acting wise and professional by preventing Al-Kazemi his brother from exploiting his influence and delivering a message through this to whom it may concern.

A commentator named Sakina said it was a good gesture and a good start for Al-Kazemi.

Is this a goodwill gesture that the time for patronage has ended ...
or is it more than propaganda ... ... pic.twitter.com/gR4iHvA9KB

In contrast, other Iraqis considered the video a mere media promotion and an attempt to appease the street with an agreed-upon order.

Al-Kazimi's visit to this department comes after the retirement salary was delayed for ten days, preceded by a decision issued on Saturday to pay the retired salaries, and other decisions, and this is the first visit to a government department since he took office.
