According to the ministry, the accusations against an employee of the Russian embassy in preparing an assassination attempt on Prague municipal politicians by the Russian side are false and unproven, they were refuted both in Moscow and in Prague.

“The embassy appealed to the Czech Foreign Ministry with a request to take all appropriate measures to prevent any encroachment on the personality, freedom and dignity of its employee,” they added.

The embassy noted that threats to the Russian diplomat’s personal harassment launched by the Czech media

“In this regard, the embassy is also forced to turn to the Czech side for providing the diplomatic guard with a diplomatic mission,” the diplomatic mission said.

Earlier, the Czech Foreign Ministry invited Russia to discuss difficulties in relations against the background of the demolition of the monument to Soviet Marshal Ivan Konev in Prague.

They also commented on the increased security at the Czech embassy in Moscow.
