It was on July 28 that 21-year-old Julia Markström fell through a rust-engraved grating floor in LKAB's pellet mill in Svappavaara. She fell five meters and later died from her severe injuries.

An investigation into work environment crimes was initiated and a manager with protective responsibility at LKAB was suspected of work environment crimes by causing another person's death. Now another manager at LKAB has been served the same suspicion, which P4 Norrbotten Sweden Radio was the first to report on.

Stig Andersson, prosecutor at the National Unit for Environmental and Occupational Crime, says the suspect has not yet been questioned.

How is the investigation into the fatal accident?

- We are nearing the end, but that also depends on what is said during the hearings. It may be that we need to hold other hearings and do more investigations depending on what comes up, says Stig Andersson.
