The British government began to relax its control on some industries, such as resumption of work and sports activities.

  On the afternoon of May 11th local time in London, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson disclosed to the parliament a 50-page gradual deregulation control document prepared by the government.

  The document details the measures to loosen control starting from Wednesday, May 13, including:

  Personnel working in the food production, construction, manufacturing, logistics, express delivery industry, and research laboratories should return to work;

  The government requires key industry staff and children of susceptible groups to immediately resume classes;

  Paid childcare workers, such as nanny, can start work;

  The government recommends that when people in closed spaces come into contact with people who do not often contact people, such as taking public transportation or going to shops, and cannot guarantee a safe social distance of 2 meters apart, they should wear masks;

  People can exercise outdoors or participate in sports activities such as golf, fishing, or tennis for an unlimited number of times, but currently the playground and outdoor fitness area are still not open due to the risk of crowding;

  People can drive to other outdoor open spaces for leisure, and the distance of activities is no longer limited in England;

  People can socialize with a non-family member in the park, but keep a safe distance of more than 2 meters;

  Johnson suggested that the parliament hold more physical meetings in the lower house to set an example to the public and support the government ’s public health guidelines.

  Starting next month, the government will consider allowing indoor cultural and sports events to be broadcast live, but will still avoid the risk of large-scale social contacts. To the third step, the final stage of the relaxation of strict control measures, it is expected that the government will allow the opening of bars, restaurants, hair salons, beauty shops, religious facilities and some theaters as early as July 4.
