The smoke plume, visible over more than ten kilometers around, did not go unnoticed. A fire broke out this Monday afternoon in a warehouse located in the town of Bouguenais, Pagerie district, reports the departmental fire and rescue service of Loire-Atlantique.
The 1,200 m2 building, which previously belonged to the Bouquet Nantais, has been abandoned for several years. The damage was significant, but there were no injuries. Four fire hoses had to be used to control the flames, specify the firemen. Three neighboring houses were evacuated during the intervention. Nine residents were thus made safe.
Traffic on the road connecting the villages of Bouguenais to La Montagne was also interrupted.
