There are more places where young people find it difficult to enter the housing market. Not a single one of all the apartments sold in Kungsbacka (284), Sigtuna (301), Vellinge (49) or Kungälv (239) has been so cheap that a 20-24 year old with a normal income could afford to buy it , shows the data compilation.

And the survey offers even bigger eyebrow raisers: Even in municipalities like Bollebygd (20 apartments registered as sold on Hemnet), Habo (15), Söderköping (10), Grästorp (9), Mullsjö (8) and Färgelanda (6) have the apartments in the central location has been too expensive for the municipality's 20-24 year olds to live in.

A total of 40 municipalities

All these locations are located in Götaland. To the north, Åre stands out, the 5 apartments sold there during the period were all too expensive for the resort's young people to buy.

In total, SVT's survey identifies 40 municipalities where no apartment sold in the city center was so cheap that young people could afford to buy it. In many cases, however, this is because the number of items sold has been so small that they do not say anything about the general price level.

In municipalities such as Vindeln, Älvsbyn, Valdemarsvik and Skinnskatteberg, the opposite situation prevails. Here, young people have been able to afford to buy all apartments sold during the year if they wanted. Here too, however, the number of transactions (1-2 pieces) has been so small that the price does not become representative.

Also in Ovanåker , Hälsingland, the town's young people, who have SEK 13,601 in disposable net income each month, could afford all apartments sold in the municipality. In addition, the number of stores was larger - six.

Classic mills

Even in many types of farms, it turns out that young young people can afford to buy most apartments. There, the supply is also considerably larger, which indicates a generally lower price level.

For example, in Avesta , 139 apartments were sold during the period. As many as 73 per cent of them at such a low price that the average 20-24 year old at the resort could actually afford to strike.

Similarly, in Surahammar and Karlskoga , the younger councils had the opportunity to buy 77 and 67 percent of the apartments that changed owners (30 and 134 respectively).
