Last summer, 20-year-old Emil Wass decided to buy his dream home in Kopparberg.

- Sure it cost over a million, but it was worth it. Because this is really my house.

How have you been able to afford to buy your dream home as a 20-year-old?

- It's all about working and saving. You have to prioritize the right things. If you have the right mind for long enough, you will eventually be able to afford a good house.

Have always been frugal

Emil says that he has long been a person who likes to save.

- As a 15-year-old I started a summer job to get money and before that I did different jobs for relatives to save and have some fun.

Rural house in front of apartment in city

That the choice fell on a 250 square meter villa in Kopparberg rather than an apartment in any more populous city is due to two things.

- My interest in cars means that I have to have a garage and so I have my family here. So the choice was quite simple, I probably would have felt too crowded in an apartment too.

In the clip, Emil tells more about how he could afford his dream house.
