Florence Parly delivered on Monday the conclusions of two investigations into the contamination of two-thirds of the crew of the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle by the coronavirus. According to the Minister of the Armed Forces, the Covid-19 was introduced for the first time on board in the Mediterranean.

The command of the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and his medical team had "excessive confidence" in the capacity of the vessel and its escort "to cope with the coronavirus", but did not commit a "fault", estimated Monday the Minister of the Armies Florence Parly.

Delivering to the National Assembly the conclusions of two investigations into the contamination of two-thirds of the crew of the aircraft carrier, the minister clarified that the Covid-19 was introduced for the first time on board the aircraft carrier in Mediterranean, before a stopover in Brest in mid-March, where it was reintroduced on board.
