11 May 2020: tight controls and checkpoints have been set up by the police on the roads between Aversa and the northern area of Naples to try to capture the bandits responsible this morning for a robbery at the BNL branch of Viale Kennedy in Aversa, in Caserta.

During the raid, a superintendent of the State Police (on duty at Polfer), shot in the tibia and femur of one leg, and a security guard, reached at the ankle, were injured by the blows exploded by the robbers.

According to a testimony, the bandits would have gone into action taking a Kalashnikov. At the moment the detail is not confirmed even if, for sure, the shots were exploded with automatic weapons. We are looking for a gray car, this is the color indicated by some witnesses.

State Police investigators - Caserta Mobile Squad and Aversa Commissariat - are viewing the images of the institute's video surveillance cameras; It seems that the robbery took place in the room where there is an ATM, right at the bank entrance, while the vigilante, as soon as he got out of the van, was probably preparing to load the money into the machine. At that point, one of the bandits disarmed the guard trying to tear the envelope with money from her hands; the vigilante reacted and a violent scuffle arose. The Polfer policeman then intervened, who was perhaps there for a withdrawal at the ATM; the public official would have drawn the gun by ordering the bandits to lower their weapons, instead they would have fired several shots injuring the agent and the vigilante. The policeman's gun was found on the spot.
