Dubai Municipality closed 483 institutions that violated the approved preventive controls and requirements to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

She told «Emirates Today» that it is implementing an intensive monitoring plan to ensure that the institutions operating in Dubai adhere to preventive controls and instructions, especially with the gradual start of the return of the economic movement.

The municipality clarified that the plan included preparing and generalizing precautionary measures on institutions through electronic and smart systems and social media channels, in addition to publishing the relevant circulars through its website.

She confirmed the distribution of inspectors to the emirate's regions for field inspection and ensuring that institutions adhere to the precautionary requirements.

The municipality said that a violation of the precautionary procedures necessitates the writing of a fine for the violating institution, and then its closure.

The list of establishments includes salons, laundries, consumer goods sales and shopping centers, as well as food establishments, markets and other activities supervised by the municipality.

She stated that the number of its inspectors responsible for following up on the institutions' commitment amounts to 189 persons, in addition to 22 supervisors from team leaders and division managers.

The municipality drew attention to the implementation of 5,728 inspection visits to establishments during the period of reopening men's and women's salons, laundries, and institutions selling and trading consumer goods, which include pharmacies, perfume shops, personal care, and cosmetics.
