by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea 10 May 2020 It all depends on the data. The coming week is crucial to verify the first numbers on Phase 2 and to decide if other reopenings of economic activities are possible.

Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said during his participation in a Mediaset broadcast: "I can tell the citizens that they can't take it anymore, that I understand, but this week, apart from a few irresponsible attitudes, has gone well and tomorrow we will have data that will tell us if things are much better. If things are much better, the 18th will be the date when we could anticipate the reopening of certain activities, such as hairdressers and beauticians. Scientists will be able to examine the progress of the contagion curve of the last week so to understand what we can reopen and what we can anticipate ". And he adds: " I appeal to everyone's responsibility ".

Di Maio then remarked how it is not possible to make a mistake: "We are working to guarantee a peaceful summer. If we are wrong now, we must close in August and we cannot afford it" explaining that "it will not be a normal summer, but at least a peaceful one" .

Regarding what he is accessing on the delayed payments of the Cassa Integrazione in derogation which triggered an exchange of reciprocal accusations between Regions and INPS on the responsibility for delays in payment, Di Maio considers such delays intolerable: "It is unacceptable that people has not yet received the Redundancy Fund. I say this as a representative of the Government and I turn to the Regions. We make a team , if necessary we put more people to work on these practices ".
