A woman was killed and four members of the same family were injured as a result of the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Haftar targeting their house in Salah Al-Din neighborhood, south of Tripoli, according to the National Accord Government.

A statement of the "Borkan Rage" operation of the Al-Wefaq government said that Haftar militias bombed the home of Muammar Abdel Salam Shaaban in Salah al-Din today, Sunday, killing the mother Fatima Faraj Hammad and wounding the father of the house and his two daughters Sarah (20 years) and Hajar (33 years).

A military source in the forces of the Libyan National Accord government confirmed that Al-Wefaq forces exchanged with the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Haftar shelling with heavy artillery and mortar shells at Salah al-Din axes and the Hadaba project south of the capital, Tripoli.

The source added that Al-Wefaq forces targeted the Yarmouk camp and its surroundings, south of Tripoli, with heavy artillery, where Haftar's forces are stationed.

The source pointed out that Al-Wefaq forces are targeting advanced observatories of Haftar forces in the Salah al-Din axis, responding immediately to the fire sources targeting the residential neighborhoods in central Tripoli.

Haftar forces launched rocket attacks earlier on residential neighborhoods in the capital, and on Saturday, Mitiga International Airport bombed more than 80 rockets, killing 6 civilians - including a woman - and wounding others, according to the Libyan Ministry of Health.

The Operation "Anger Volcano" announced that a bombing of the Maitika airport in the capital, Tripoli, resulted in damage to the Airbus 320 and 330 planes with a number of shrapnel, and their complete exit from work.

Official Libyan sources also reported that a civilian plane carrying European civilians was affected by the bombing of Haftar forces at Maitika airport, and said that the bombing caused terror and fainting situations among the civilians on board.

On Saturday, Al-Jazeera's correspondent, Ahmed Khalifa, quoted an official medical source as saying that 17 Libyans were killed and 59 others, all civilians, were injured by indiscriminate shelling of Grad rockets and mortar shells fired by gunmen of Haftar forces on residential areas and neighborhoods in the capital, Tripoli, during the past four days.

Haftar's "madness"
For his part, Fayez al-Sarraj, head of the Libyan Government’s Presidential Council, considered that "the attacks of the revolutionary general, Khalifa Haftar, on the capital, Tripoli, are insane and an indication of the end of his project to seize power."

Al-Sarraj said in a statement, "The insane actions of the terrorist war criminal these days, which killed scores of civilians, are a sign of weakness and despair after his successive defeats, and an indication of the end of his bloody project to seize power."

He added, "Hifter's violations and his heinous crimes will only increase us, insisting on hitting with an iron hand with all the available means and capabilities." He continued, "There will be no obstacle before us to provide what the war effort needs to accomplish this mission."

Al-Sarraj denounced the international condemnation of Haftar's crimes, saying, "We no longer care about the timid denunciations of the international community, who are unable to name the attacker, hold him accountable and stop those who support him."

Haftar's forces have continued since April 4, 2019, to attack the capital, Tripoli, the seat of the internationally recognized government of al-Wefaq.
