Akinwumi Adesina does not wish to react officially, the innocent report having only been communicated to the governors of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

But his conclusions were leaked in the press and they have everything to relieve him. Unfounded, unsubstantiated, unsubstantiated  ", the accusations against him are swept away by an internal investigation, carried out by a Japanese administrator, chairman of the AfDB ethics committee, Takuji Yano, which concludes that the complaint filed against Akinwumi Adesina "was  not based on any objective and solid fact  ".

No proof

Several employees of the African Development Bank accused their president of not respecting internal rules, of appointing relatives to certain positions and of favoring Nigerian nationals. The questionable award of contracts was also noted.

But it is ultimately to the "  whistleblowers  " that the internal investigation ends up criticizing, starting with that of providing no evidence and wanting to remain anonymous. Just a month ago, on RFI , Akinwumi Adesina denounced the " political  " motivations  for these accusations. The President of the AfDB could run for a second term next August.
