As of April 30, the scale of poor laborers going out to work has reached 95.4% last year, the poverty alleviation leading enterprises' resumption rate reached 97.5%, and the poverty alleviation workshop resumption rate reached 97%.
Liu Yongfu made the above remarks at the video and telephone conference on further improving employment and poverty alleviation work held by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Poverty Alleviation Office of the State Council on the 9th.
He said that although the promotion of employment poverty alleviation has achieved remarkable results, the global epidemic situation and the uncertainty of economic development will continue to affect the employment of poor labor. Migrant work is an important channel for the poor to stabilise poverty alleviation, and more targeted measures must be taken to ensure that high-quality poverty alleviation goals and tasks are completed on schedule.
Liu Yongfu demanded that strong measures be taken to do a good job in working out of poor laborers. To clarify the goals and tasks, this year, more than 28 million migrant laborers will be employed in the country. The total number of migrant laborers in the eastern region will be no less than last year, and the total number of migrant laborers in the central and western regions will be no less than last year. At the same time, we should do a good job in stabilizing posts, promote peer-to-peer labor service cooperation, and standardize poverty alleviation public welfare posts. It is also necessary to make good use of the assessment baton, and regard the situation of poor laborers going out for work as an important part of the assessment of the effectiveness of the poverty alleviation and development work of the provincial party committees and governments in the central and western regions and the assessment of the effectiveness of the cooperation between the eastern and western regions.
He said that organizing poor laborers to go out to work is an important task for cross-regional and cross-sector collaboration. Poverty alleviation departments at all levels should actively cooperate with human and social affairs departments to do a good job, provide data and information in a timely manner, communicate and coordinate to solve problems, and earnestly implement relevant policies to ensure the smooth progress of the work.
