According to Yurin, firefighters are taking all measures to limit the spread of fire. The issue of attracting aviation is being addressed in order to reduce the fire area and eliminate it. 

It is indicated that the fire area is about 2.5 hectares.

According to Yurin, 1.2 thousand people live in apartment buildings on the territory of the former military camp.

“We are going to evacuate people with limited mobility. Some people are now evacuating on their own, ”he said.

It is noted that the fire began on the afternoon of May 9, later there were explosions of single small-caliber ammunition.

In May 2018, a state of emergency was introduced in the Malopurginsky district of Udmurtia due to a fire and explosions of shells in the territory of the former military arsenal in the village of Pugachevo.
