“From May 12, residents of St. Petersburg will be required in public places, including retail facilities, public transport, including taxis, as well as on the street to use personal protective equipment for respiratory organs and hands,” the statement said.

The administration clarified that before the entry into force of the decision, the request to wear personal protective equipment will be advisory in nature.

Earlier it was reported that the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, ordered to extend the high-alert mode in a pandemic of the coronavirus infection until May 31.
