May 09, 2020 Spain records 179 more deaths from the coronavirus pandemic, compared to yesterday's 229, and the toll rises to 26,478 deaths since the beginning of the health emergency. In the last 24 hours, according to official data reported by the Spanish media, another 604 infections have been ascertained and a total of 223,578 confirmed cases. Instead, 133,952 people were declared cured after contracting the infection.

In Bulgaria in the last 24 hours 46 new cases of coronavirus have been registered (16 in the capital Sofia, 22 hospitalized). The total balance of infections thus rises to 1,911. As the authorities report, there are four new deaths, for a total of 88 victims. Five other cases of contagion have emerged among medical personnel, whose balance rises to 206. A total of 380 patients are hospitalized, 49 of them in intensive care. A 92-year-old man, infected with covid-19, is cured in the Sofia military hospital. Doctors note that it is the oldest Bulgarian who overcomes the disease and among the oldest healed in Europe.
