His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, directed the payment of the costs of treating critical cases infected with corona virus "Covid 19" through stem cells.

His Highness’s initiative comes after the recent announcement by the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center to enable him to reach this adjuvant therapy and the success of the treatment experience in the country in 73 cases.

The initiative aims to promote and encourage medical research to develop a supportive treatment for people infected with the "emerging corona virus" with human and technical capabilities, and to provide its requirements and technologies, and facilitate its generalization procedures for all state hospitals.

Stem Cell Therapy is targeted at .. critical cases where this treatment reflects in addition to the medical measures taken .. concerted efforts and the United Arab Emirates endeavor to contribute to ending the epidemic / Covid - 19 /.

The Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center, has announced that it can access this supportive treatment, as it helps patients overcome the symptoms caused by the emerging corona virus, but it does not eliminate the virus itself.

It includes extracting stem cells from the patient's blood and re-entering them after activation, and treatment was tried in the country in many cases where they were cured, and the result of the examination appeared negative after the introduction of treatment to the lungs through inhalation by a fine spray.

The therapeutic effect is aimed at regenerating the lung cells, modifying their immune response, to prevent them from overreacting to "Covid 19" infection, and causing more healthy cells to be damaged.

The treatment was provided to patients in conjunction with traditional medical intervention and will continue to be applied as a support to the established treatment protocols rather than as a substitute for them.
