  The five-day ecological scheduling experiment is different from the previous ecological scheduling experiment that promotes the natural reproduction of the "four major fishes". The scheduling range is changed from the dam channel of the Three Gorges Reservoir to the Three Gorges Reservoir area, and the scheduling object is changed to carp, crucian, etc. Sexual spawn is the first ecological dispatch attempt of the Three Gorges Reservoir to promote the reproduction of this type of fish.

  According to related research, the suitable carp spawning water temperature is 17 ℃ to 23 ℃, crucian carp is 22 ℃ to 25 ℃. During the "May Day" this year, the temperature near the Three Gorges Reservoir area reached more than 17 degrees Celsius, meeting the natural breeding water temperature. In addition to the water temperature reaching a certain standard, the total drop in the water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir must be less than 0.8 meters during the dispatching experiment, which puts forward higher requirements for the precise control of the water level in the Three Gorges Reservoir.
