06 May 2020In the United States the number of coronavirus cases has exceeded 1.2 million (1,202,246 to be exact), while deaths are almost 71,000: 2,333 have been recorded in the last 24 hours alone. This is what emerges from the data of John Hopkins University.

"America must restart after the coronavirus lockdowns even if there are deaths." This was said by President Donald Trump speaking in Arizona. With the reopenings, some will be severely impacted "but we must reopen the nation and we must do it soon," said the tycoon. "In my view, the great citizens of our country are in some ways, in many ways, warriors," remarked the president. In an interview with the ABC, Trump reiterated the same concept, admitting that with the reopenings there could be other deaths

The US President then confirmed that the coronavirus task force will perhaps be replaced by a different group. Basically he confirmed the dismissal of the chief virologist Anthony Fauci who so often contradicted him, Trump then assured that the virologist, as well as Dr. Deborah Birx will continue to be consulted, "together with other experts in the field". Mike Pence and the task force - Trump said - "have done a great job, but now we are looking at a somewhat different form, which concerns security and reopening, and we will probably have a different group prepared for this".

Trump in the Arizona company without a mask, criticism is raining
Meanwhile the US President was overwhelmed by new controversies: he visited - without wearing the mask - a Honeywell plant in Phoenix, Arizona, where the protective devices for health workers are produced, in contravention of the same guidelines as the White House and the company where everyone had their mouths and noses covered.
