Yesterday, the Emirates sent an aid plane to Ethiopia, containing medical supplies, to support it in reducing the spread of the Corona virus emerging (Covid-19), and health workers will benefit from it to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

"Ethiopia was one of the main countries in the fight against (Covid-19), through its contribution as a partner in supporting the efforts of the Emirates and international organizations, to distribute the necessary aid to neighboring African countries," said Mohammed Salem Ahmed Al Rashdi, UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia.

He added, "We are honored to deliver another shipment of aid to Ethiopia."

On April 13th, the UAE, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, sent a plane carrying 33 tons of medical supplies to Ethiopia, to help about 33,000 medical workers.

Yesterday, the Emirates sent an aid plane containing 7.7 tons of medical supplies to Zimbabwe to support it in limiting the spread of the virus, and more than 7.7 thousand health care workers will benefit from it.

"The UAE is honored to support the tireless efforts of the countries that are working to contain (Covid-19)," said Jassem Mohamed Mubarak Al Qasimi, UAE Ambassador to Zimbabwe.

The UAE provides more than 448 tons of aid to more than 40 countries.
