“In the context of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, issues related to the interaction of the two countries in this area were discussed, taking into account the need to combine the efforts of all members of the international community in accordance with the calls of the UN leadership and other multilateral organizations,” the Foreign Ministry said.
It is noted that the parties discussed global security issues.
“Ways to intensify the Russian-American dialogue on arms limitation and non-proliferation are considered, taking into account factors affecting strategic stability,” the report said.
The parties also confirmed the importance of the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Victory in World War II.
Earlier, the US State Department announced a conversation between Pompeo and Lavrov.
