The interview with President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday in a school in Yvelines drew a total of 13.8 million viewers on the channels that broadcast it, or 76% of audience share, according to figures from Médiamétrie.
At the end of the 1 pm news broadcast, Emmanuel Macron answered questions from Valérie Astruc (France 2) and Marie Chantray (TF1), in an interview also broadcast on M6 and on the news channels.
The interview notably caught the attention of 7.2 million viewers on TF1 and 4 million on France 2.
From this Poissy classroom, Emmanuel Macron detailed his wish for a gradual return to school from the start of the deconfinement on May 11, saying that he preferred "a good return to school rather than a return to school" .
In the early evening of April 13, the president's speech had set an absolute audience record with a total of 36.7 million viewers on the eleven channels that broadcast it, or 94.4% of the French who watched television. .
