The Ivorian Prime Minister will stay in France for a few weeks before returning to Côte d'Ivoire. Amadou Gon Coulibaly arrived in Paris on Sunday for a check-up at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, where he is regularly monitored. Amadou Gon Coulibaly, 61, was chosen to be the candidate of the ruling party, the RHDP, for the October presidential election. In the current circumstances, can his candidacy be compromised?

Eight years ago, Amadou Gon Coulibaly underwent heart surgery. According to the press release from the Ivorian presidency, his doctor prescribed medical monitoring and a rest period.
