Retirees, students or people from completely different industries. The response from the county residents has been great following the region's recruitment campaign to get more healthcare staff into work during the corona crisis.

- More than 7,000 people have registered with us, and many more have registered directly with the hospitals. It is heart-warming how many people want to help the care function, says Financial Region Council Irene Svenonius (M).

Ten percent already out of work

Of those who have reported interest, 10 per cent have already come to work, but the rapid recruitment process is not something that Irene Svenonius (M) considers to be a risk.

- You look at each individual, which is why we have not yet received beta of all interest reports, says Irene Svenonius (M).

Temporary forms of employment

It is primarily in demand for nurses, nurses and doctors. First and foremost, shorter positions await those who start working.

- I assume that in most cases temporary jobs run during the corona crisis. But for example, nurses, who we otherwise look for with light and lantern, I am convinced that hospitals are more than happy to retain, says Irene Svenonius (M).
