  • In Toulouse, a third of the schools must reopen with reduced enrollment. At noon, students will be provided with a cold meal first.
  • Tisséo plans to put 75% of its network back into service and to closely monitor the crowds or unpleasantness in the stations.

No relaxation. The deconfinement is for May 11, at best, even if the sun and the duration of this forced confinement give ants in the legs. So, not to jeopardize the exit, Jean-Luc Moudenc (LR), the mayor of Toulouse, warns that in agreement with the prefect "controls will multiply", in this last week of confinement.

And after ? The regained freedom will remain a monitored freedom. This, even if the city councilor does not intend to impose the wearing of a mask outside places designated by the authorities such as public transport for example. "The mayor has no right, neither here nor elsewhere," he recalls, counting on the people of Toulouse to "behave responsibly."

In schools or transport, here is what we know about deconfinement at a week before the deadline.

A third of schools open and free cold meals in the canteen

In Toulouse, the reopening of schools will be "gradual". A third of them, or 68 establishments, will find entertainment, but only on May 12, the 11 being reserved for the return of teachers. Please note, they will only accommodate a reduced number of children, "45 maximum per school, 90 per school group", specifies Marion Lalane de Laubadère, the assistant in charge of school affairs, the educational choice to bring back such or such a child being taken up by the National Education.

Each school will have a room to isolate pitchouns who suddenly show symptoms of Covid-19.

Regarding the canteen, the place of taking meals is not yet defined everywhere. What is certain is that the central kitchen will only provide cold meals. In addition, to compensate for the increase in certain food products, no family will be billed for the canteen for the months of May and June. The same goes for CLAE. After-school care will not resume until May 22, however.

Finally, all municipal crèches will reopen on May 11. They will welcome all the children, making sure to form groups of ten.

The masks will arrive by post

The 480,000 “alternative” masks purchased by the town hall, as part of a group order with other cities in the metropolitan area, are manufactured by a company in Montluçon. She agreed to deliver them before May 11. They must therefore be "sent" by Post "during the first week of deconfinement".

😷 The Toulouse town hall has ordered 480,000 masks which will be distributed to you, free of charge, in May.

A metro with very "video-monitored" crowds

Since the start of confinement, only 5% to 10% of regular travelers have used the Tisséo network. This rate is estimated to reach 20% to 30% at the start of deconfinement. On 11 May, tickets will again become chargeable and 75% of the service will be provided against 40% currently.

Tisséo has planned to install around sixty hydroalcoholic gel dispensers in the stations and to neutralize seats using “lozenges” in buses and trains. Regarding the metro, a frequency of 3'30 will be provided on line A and 2'30 on the B. And, there is no question of forgetting your mask, here too the call for good citizenship is in order. "There are 800 cameras in the metro," says Jean-Luc Moudenc, "people who do not like it will be quickly spotted." The video will also monitor traffic on the docks in real time. "We will thus be able to stop travelers on the composting line if necessary," said Jean-Michel Lattes, president of Tisséo.
