In a pilot project together with students studying peace and conflict at Linnaeus University, and the Blekinge Integration and Education Center, the Blekinge Museum now portrays the refugee stream to Sweden as a way of documenting contemporary history.

The students have met six new arrivals from Ronneby municipality who in their own way tell their own story about how they fled to Sweden. The idea was to meet more, but the corona virus stopped the process. But there is a desire to expand the project this fall.

- We want to do something important for the present, says Christoffer Sandahl, Head of Unit at Blekinge Museum.

The six short films can be seen in full length on the museum's website and eventually they are stored in the archive for the future. The clip shows a clip from two of the interviews done by the students at the university.
