02 May 2020A magnitude 5.4 earthquake has hit Puerto Rico. The US Geological Institute (Usgs) registered the epicenter at a depth of 9 kilometers near the cities of Ponce and Guayanilla. No tsunami warning has been issued by the authorities of Puerto Rico and the nearby Virgin Islands.

No injuries have been reported, although images from the affected areas show damage to buildings and homes.
