French researchers have discovered a cat infected with the emerging coronavirus, according to French media on Saturday.

These methods indicated that the cat, who descended from the great ocean of the French capital Paris, was suffering from breathing and digestion problems.

The National Veterinary Institute, located in the Fur region near Paris, had announced a virus detection test for about 10 animals in possession of Covid-19 infection.

The institute advised the person with corona to avoid direct contact with his cat, and stated that owners of animals should wear a muzzle and wash their hands before touching their animals.

The media added that the French authority in charge of labor security, foodstuffs and the environment (Ances) participated in the examination.

The Veterinary Institute said that there is no evidence that the virus is transmitted from domestic animals to humans or to other animals, and pointed out that cases of infection among animals are rare, as there are four other cases of this type in the world, one in Belgium and another in Hong Kong And two cases in New York in the United States.

"According to the current state of scientific knowledge, cats do not become infected quickly even when in contact with infected owners," said Sophie Lu Bodh, Professor of Virology.
