Forest planting is a profession where there is usually a lot of foreign labor. The Emergency Preparedness is an initiative aimed at helping with staff recruitment in the shortages that have emerged through the pandemic. It is newly arrived from different countries as well as young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities, for example within the autism spectrum. The first 25 people trained in forest planting come from Stockholm but will work in Dalsland.

The intensive training takes a week to complete and then the work will last for about five months, until September.
