Two American sprinters, including Deajah Stevens, a 200m Olympic finalist, have been temporarily suspended for breaches of their localization duties, the Athletics Integrity Unit (IAU) announced on Friday.

Deajah Stevens, 24, had finished 7th in the last Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 and 5th in the London Worlds in 2017, the year she was crowned champion of the United States.

His compatriot Gabrielle Thomas (23), double winner of the prestigious meeting of the Lausanne Diamond League (2018 and 2019) over 200 m, is temporarily suspended for the same reasons.

The IAU also announced the provisional suspension of the Kenyan Alex Korio Oliotiptip (29 years old), 11th of the last Worlds of Doha on 10.000 m.

According to the anti-doping rules in force, athletes must indicate their geographical locations to the anti-doping bodies 90 days in advance in order to allow unannounced out-of-competition testing every day of the year. Three breaches of these obligations in twelve months constitute an anti-doping offense.
